God’s Peace During COVID19

Everywhere you go you hear about COVID19, it’s pretty much impossible to avoid it if you tried.  But what is God saying during this time?  Is He still in control?  Many have questions and want answers.  I can’t provide all the answers but I can ensure you God is still on the throne.

God has given me such peace through this time.  God’s peace is unexplainable.  The world can be in absolute destruction around you but when you have God’s peace there is a calm that many do not understand.  They think you are crazy…Asking you, “DON’T YOU SEE WHAT’S GOING ON, HOW CAN YOU BE SO CALM???”  I get those comments all the time, it’s ok.  Unless they experience God’s peace for themselves they can’t understand.  And I’m talking God’s peace.

And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. – Philippians 4:7

There are many that are talking about peace from other sources and things, but only God’s peace is the real thing.  He is the real thing!!!  Hallelujah!!!  More real than Coke-Cola…(sorry, I had to say it). God’s peace will guard our hearts and mind.

3 Ways To Remain In Peace During A Crisis

Here are a few things I am doing during this isolation time that might help you:

I’m spending more time with the Lord in prayer to hear what He is saying.  I want to know what He is saying.  Don’t you?  I believe He is preparing His church, like how Esther was prepared before going before the king.  There are concepts of God and church that we have created, even “bad habits” that needs to go. He cannot pour new wine in an old wine skin…come on y’all, we all have some dirty laundry that needs to be taken care of. Don’t lie, God sees it all…  As we spend time with Him, He is going to reveal these areas so we can repent and turn to Him. Don’t worry, He’s going to do the work from the inside out.

I’m limiting the about of media I watch…there is a lot out there that is causing fear.  Fear is the opposite of faith.  It will make you doubt everything you know to be sound and can lead you to do some crazy stuff…so we don’t want to be walking in fear.  We need to walk in faith.  Faith is believing in something you can not see.  God is still in control. We may not see His plan but we know by FAITH He is in control.

I am staying connected with my church family.  This is important if you don’t have a home church, I encourage you to get connected with one that teaches the Word of God and that Jesus Christ is Lord. I don’t know where I would be without the Body of Christ praying for me and being there for me. We need each other.

As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.

Many bible events come to my mind when I think about this time, but the one I want to leave you with is Noah’s ark.  While the destruction was coming on the earth, God’s people were safe in the ark.  We, children of God, are safe in the ark.  Hidden in Him.  So rest in Him, trust Him, look to Him.  He is speaking during this time, but we need to go to Him to hear what He is saying, and while you are doing that, put your feet up and enjoy the ride.

  1. Amen!! I love this. I definitely recognize how the Lord is showing me some of my not so good ways you spoke of to clean up this vessel for it to be ready. I truly feel this is a great time for self reflection, let the Father work in us so we can be ready.

  3. My message, that will be streamed this Sunday is on how to be a peacemaker God’s way, contains a scripture verse that really spoke to my heart which goes along with what you wrote. And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness. James 3:18
